An unsettled Monday, followed by a dry and comfortable week

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)– A cold front will bring chances for rain and storms on Monday, followed by several dry and comfortable days.

TONIGHT: A few isolated showers or thunderstorms remain possible through the evening hours, otherwise expect a partly cloudy night ahead. Lows will drop into the mid-60s.

MONDAY: We’ll start off dry and even with a little sunshine early Monday morning. A cold front will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially during the afternoon tomorrow. Severe weather is not anticipated, but watch out for frequent lightning and locally heavy downpours in the stronger storms cells. It will feel more humid, with southwest winds bringing in more moisture. High temperatures will reach the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.

MONDAY NIGHT: Showers and thunderstorms will gradually diminish in coverage and intensity through the evening. Partly cloudy skies are expected through the overnight hours, with lows dropping into the mid-60s.

TUESDAY: A very pleasant weather pattern for the middle of the week will begin on Tuesday. It will be a partly cloudy day, with comfortable high temperatures in the mid-70s and low humidity values.

8-DAY FORECAST: Gorgeous weather continues to end the week. Plenty of sunshine, low humidity, and mild temperatures will be the story; an excellent forecast for early August. Temperatures will increase back into the mid-80s by the weekend, with chances for showers and thunderstorms returning to the forecast. Enjoy the pattern change this week while it lasts!
