Cloudy weekend with isolated rain and snow chances

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Clouds hang tough for the next several days, with some light wintry mix chances through the weekend.

Tonight:

Cloud cover will be the rule across the area.  Winds should relatively quiet, but temperatures will likely dip below the freezing mark again for Saturday morning.

Weekend:

Overall chilly and cloudy for both days this weekend.  a weak disturbance with limited moisture will push into the state Saturday evening, squeezing out light rain and snow showers.  The boundary stalls out a bit through the overnight into Sunday morning, keeping up our wintry mix chances through the first half of our Sunday.  Little to no accumulation is expected, but as always, be on guard for isolated slick spots – especially Saturday overnight into Sunday, as temperatures fall to near freezing.

8 day forecast:

Our pattern finally quiets down entering the holiday week.  Still some cloud cover to deal with for Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures still struggling a bit.  We’;ll start to tap into some warmth starting Wednesday, and near normal temperatures return for Thanksgiving through the start of the weekend.  Even better news, the week looks dry leading up to the holiday for travelers, with rain chances set to return for Black Friday.
