Cold for the remainder of the week

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — It was a warm and gloomy Wednesday with gusty winds at times across the state. Rain showers also began to develop in the afternoon hours. We will continue to transition towards much colder air going into our Thursday.

Wednesday night: On and off scattered showers will be likely throughout the nighttime hours. No thunderstorms are expected.

Temperatures will plummet as the front passes through overnight. Lows will fall all the way into the upper 30s by early Thursday morning. Breezy winds will also stick around as well.

Thursday: Have the coat as you head out Thursday morning as we are looking at a cold and breezy day on deck. Sunshine is set to return as clouds decrease throughout the day. Highs will struggle to get into the low to mid 40s.

Friday: We will end the workweek with the coldest day of the week overall. Although we will have lots of bright skies, we will struggle to get out of the 30s for our high temperatures.

8-Day Forecast: Temperatures look to rebound towards the 50° mark for the upcoming weekend. This quick warmup will lead way to additional rain chances for Sunday. We will quickly fall back into the 40s to start the new workweek next week. Below normal numbers look to stick around through much of next week with lots of dry weather.
