Cold Friday, a little bit warmer for the weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We had quite the difference weather wise for our Thursday compared to yesterday. Chilly temperatures and windy conditions lead way for us having to get out some warm layers for the day. We are tracking even colder temperatures to end the week before we slightly rebound for the weekend.

Thursday night: Have the winter coat, hat, and gloves on hand if you are heading out tonight as we are expecting a very cold night on tap. Lows will dip into the mid 20s.

If you are wanting to check out tonight’s exceptionally rare partial lunar eclipse, it will take place overnight tonight!! It will begin just after 1 AM EST and conclude just after 7 AM EST. Skies will be mainly clear!

Friday: The coldest day of the week is ahead for our Friday. Winds will die down a bit and become much lighter than they have been the past couple of days. Highs will only manage to rise into the low to mid 40s.

Weekend: Expect a cold start to your Saturday before we rebound temperatures a little bit for the afternoon hours. Skies will be mostly cloudy for much of the day as highs rise into the upper 40s to low 50s. Rain chances will slide back into our area for our Sunday. Temperatures will be near average for Sunday as well as we top out in the upper 40s to low 50s.

8-Day Forecast: Another shot of cold air will swing in for the first half of next week with highs struggling to get out of the 30s. Low temperatures for some areas Tuesday morning may drop into the teens. Additional precipitation chances look to return by midweek, and these chances are low at this time. Thanksgiving Day looks to be chilly with a mix of sun and clouds.
