Cold today with a winter mess for Wednesday
A cold start to the morning with temperatures in the lower 20s with feel like temperatures in the mid teens. Sunshine and clouds for this morning with some sunshine lingering through the afternoon! Clouds will thicken up this afternoon with a system moving in from the south. Snow will spread in late tonight. A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect at 10 this evening through 10 Wednesday morning. Lows tonight will fall into the upper 20s and lower 30s.
Early Wednesday morning snow will spread in and will continue to fall through 3 am. Precipitation will transition to a wintry mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow from 5 am to midmorning. Temperatures will warm to the mid to upper 30s through the late morning early afternoon allowing any freezing precipitation to transition to rain. Snow accumulation is looking like a widespread 1-3” of snow. Ice accumulation will be upwards of 0.10” of an inch. Scattered showers will continue through the afternoon and will tapper out closer to midnight. Highs Wednesday will top out in the mid 40s.
Thursday will be a quiet one with highs near seasonal in the lower 40s with lots of clouds. We’ll wrap up the work week with highs in the lower 50s with mostly cloudy skies. Spring will return just in time for the weekend with highs expected to reach the mid 50s Saturday afternoon with showers and storms during the afternoon. Rai will liner through Sunday with highs in the upper 40s.
