INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Prepare for a cold end to the year with near to below normal temperatures. We will also track more chances for precipitation as we work our way into 2024.

Friday night: Light precipitation remains possible this evening. Spotty light rain to scattered flurries will continue mainly north of I-70. Temperatures will cool to the mid to upper 30s tonight under mostly cloudy skies.

Saturday: Prepare for clouds and chilly temperatures to start your day Saturday. Clouds will decrease by late morning making way for afternoon sunshine. Winds will remain light out of the southwest Saturday as temperatures warm to the mid 40s.

Saturday night: Clouds will increase Saturday night as temperatures fall to the low 30s.

New Year’s Eve: Rain chances, snow chances and winds will increase throughout the day on Sunday. Light precipitation will develop Sunday afternoon, expect high temperatures in the upper 30s to low 40s.

8-day Forecast: The near normal temperature trend will continue into the New Year. If you have plans for New Year’s Eve, bundle up as temperatures will fall to the 20s Sunday night. The first day of 2024 will be a cold one with afternoon high temperatures in the upper 30s. Next week will be mainly dry, however spotty showers will develop on Wednesday night.
