Cool weekend with rain chances ahead

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – We had a pleasant end to the workweek with bright skies and light winds. Rain chances look to return to the state this weekend.

Friday night: Clouds will increase overnight, leading way for slightly warmer low temperatures. It will be dry and calm as lows will dip into the upper 30s to low 40s.

Saturday: A weak disturbance will move across the state, which will bring the chance for isolated showers in southern Indiana. These shower chances will linger into the nighttime hours. We are not expecting a complete rainy mess for Saturday overall. Highs will remain below average as we will top out in the upper 50s.

Sunday: A mainly dry day will be on tap for us to round out the weekend, but we can’t rule out a stray shower Sunday evening for locations south of interstate 70. Highs will once again rise into the upper 50s.

8 Day Forecast: The new workweek will kick off on a fantastic note with warmer temperatures and lots of sunshine. We will quickly work in more rain chances for our Tuesday with cooler air settling back into the state. Some rain may even mix in with snow (yes, we just said snow) late Tuesday. Below normal temperatures will be in place through much of the week with highs in the 50s to low 60s.
