Cool weekend with rain chances for some

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Much cooler temperatures will settle in for the weekend, with scattered showers possible for parts of the state on Saturday.

Saturday:

There is a weak system moving in from the west. Expect a lot of cloud cover through the day. Scattered showers arrive as early as late morning, with higher chances for rain in the southern half of the state.

Rain should clear the area by late this afternoon. Highs top out in the middle to upper 70s.

Saturday night:

Gradual clearing and low humidity should make for a wonderful night. Lows fall to the upper 50s and lower 60s.

Sunday:

Overall, it should be a nice day with more sunshine than Sunday. A few isolated showers and storms may develop during the afternoon hours.

Highs top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s.

8 day forecast:

Quiet and seasonably cool weather pattern is on the way for the upcoming work week. Highs hover around 80° with little to no rain chances from Monday to the start of next weekend.
