Heat and humidity return next week

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)–Clear and comfortable tonight but hot and muggy on Tuesday.

TONIGHT: Look for a great evening around much of central Indiana. Temperatures fall into the lower 60s with low humidity values throughout the night. Skies stay mostly clear.

MONDAY: Humidity stays low however the temperatures climb during the afternoon. Highs reach the upper 80s in many spots. Look for lots of sunshine during much of the day. Skies become partly cloudy later in the afternoon and evening.

MONDAY NIGHT: Humidity levels begin to increase a little during the night. It will be partly cloudy and mild with lows falling into the upper 60s.

TUESDAY: The remnants of Tropical Storm Cristobal move into the Midwest on Tuesday. We’ll see very humid air along with high heat and the chance for showers and storms. It’s going to feel very muggy with highs close to 90.

Showers and thunderstorms will be possible and some of them may be on the stronger side. The Storm Prediction Center has much of Indiana under a marginal risk that some of the storms may reach severe criteria.

8DAY FORECAST: Clouds stick around on Wednesday with a few showers. The rest of the week looks cooler and less humid. We’ll see sunshine throughout the weekend. It looks like we’ll be in a very quiet weather pattern through next weekend.
