Morning fog, afternoon sunshine

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Dense fog for many Sunday morning will make way for a beautiful second half of the day.

Sunday:

Dense fog has developed across a good poriton of central Indiana this morning. A DENSE FOG ADVISORY will remain in effect until 9 a.m. The fog should only be a short-term problem, as it slowly lifts by mid to late morning.

Because of the fog, temperatures will be slow to climb this morning. Once the fog lifts, the sun will boost temperatures quickly this afternoon – making a run to 70° for many later today.

Tonight:

It will be quiet, clear and not as cold overnight. Lows will fall to the middle to upper 40s.

Monday:

Conditions will be sunny and warmer to open the work week. Highs will hit the middle 70s.

8 day forecast:

There will be an active mid-week on tap, as a couple upper-level disturbances move through the Midwest. The first will move in Tuesday, sparking scattered showers and storms. Weak disturbances will move through Wednesday and Thursday, bringing only a slight or isolated chance for showers both days. We’ll quiet the pattern down for the end of the week into the weekend, with above-average temperatures.
