Nice Saturday, rainy by Sunday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — It has been a damp, gloomy, and chilly day throughout our Friday with periodic showers and drizzle. We will turn things around for our Saturday before we quickly bring back rain chances.

Friday night: Patchy drizzle will continue into the evening hours. Skies will become mostly cloudy as we work in a chilly night with lows dipping into the low 40s.

Saturday: A much nicer day is on the way for our Saturday with sunshine returning to the area. The sunshine will lead way to a slightly warmer afternoon. Enjoy a nice day overall with highs rising into the low 60s. Rain chances will begin to increase again late Saturday.

Sunday: Have the rain gear on hand if you will be heading out as rain showers will be on and off throughout the day. Heavy rain is possible at times. There is even the threat for isolated strong to severe storms late Sunday for the southwestern and western portions of Indiana. The main threat is damaging winds, but an isolated tornado is not out of the question. Flooding could become a concern for areas with training rain.

We will continue our warming trend with highs pushing into the mid 60s.

8-Day Forecast: Rain and storm chances will linger into the start of the new workweek for our Monday. We look to briefly dry out Tuesday before additional rain chances swing in by midweek. Highs will stick around in the 60s for much of next week.
