Rain and snow Sunday evening

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)–Another cold night but a warm up is on the way.

TONIGHT: After 2 weeks of temperatures below freezing we finally saw temperatures above 32 today. It’s going to be another cold night with partly cloudy skies and lows falling into the middle teens.

SUNDAY: Clouds increase throughout the day. It gets warmer with temperatures climbing into the middle and upper 30s. Much of the day stays dry. We’ll see a chance of rain move into the state later in the afternoon and evening hours. A little snow is possible in the far northern part of Indiana. High of 39.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Winds begin to pick up late Sunday night as the system moves through the state. We may see a brief change over to a few flurries in central Indiana but the bulk of the precipitation should be in the form of rain. Lows fall to around 30.

MONDAY: A few early morning flurries are possible on Monday. Look for mostly cloudy skies with highs climbing into the upper 30s.

8DAY FORECAST: A quiet weather pattern takes hold across much of the area for next week. Look for partly cloudy skies with highs staying near or even above average at times. There’s a chance we may see a rain/snow mix but not until next weekend. Enjoy a return to normal after weeks in the deep freeze!
