Rain chances to pick up with warm trend continuing
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — What a Tuesday we had temperature-wise out there as we got close to record highs. Here in Indianapolis, we hit 78, which was three degrees short of the record.
We’ll keep well above normal temperatures around the next few days, but rain chances will begin to increase. This will all eventually culminate in a big flip to much colder weather next week.
Tuesday night: Skies will be mostly cloudy tonight with temperatures hanging on the mild side overnight. We can’t rule out scattered sprinkles as well.

Wednesday: A mainly cloudy day is expected with scattered showers. These showers will stay on the lighter side. Along with the rain, winds will continue to pick up with gusts approaching 20-25 MPH. Highs will once again be warm with numbers in the mid 70s.

Thursday: The warm and breezy pattern continues through Thursday with some bits of sunshine. By late Thursday night, we’ll see another round of scattered showers and isolated storms develop. Highs will rise back into the mid 70s.

8-Day Forecast: A few showers may be ongoing to start our Friday before we warm to near 80 in the afternoon hours. More scattered showers and storms will be possible Friday evening and night. A front will gradually scoot closer and eventually give us our best chance for rain Saturday and Sunday. Rain looks to turn more widespread in the latter half of Saturday and stay that way into Sunday. Showers look to stick around into Monday with temperatures turning much colder. By Halloween next Tuesday, highs may not even get out of the 40s.
