Rain returns Wednesday, cold air to follow

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — How about the nice turn-around we had for our Tuesday? Much warmer temperatures and lots of sunshine made way for a pleasant afternoon! An even warmer day is ahead for our Wednesday with rain chances set to return.

Tuesday night: A much warmer night will be on deck. Cloud cover will increase after sunset, which will hold temperatures in the 50s through the nighttime hours.

Wednesday: Warmer air will continue to slide into the state for our Wednesday. This will lead way for the development of showers in the afternoon hours. Showers will linger into part of the overnight hours.

Highs will push into the mid 60s. Expect windy conditions as well with wind gusts over 30-35 MPH at times.

Thursday: After Wednesday’s activity moves out, be prepared for a much colder and breezy Thursday. You will want those warm layers on hand as we will struggle to get into the low 40s. Plenty of sunshine will stick around throughout the day.

8-Day Forecast: We look to end the workweek on a cold and dry note with highs barely getting into the low 40s. A temperature rebound will then move in for the weekend with numbers in the upper 40s and low 50s. This warmup will lead way to additional precipitation chances for Sunday and Monday. Temperatures look to retreat once again by next week.
