Shower and thunderstorms to end the weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)- After the first 80 degree day of the year showers and thunderstorms develop for the evening.

TONIGHT: Clouds begin to increase across the state. Look for a chance of showers and thunderstorms this evening and through the overnight hours. Some of the thunderstorms may produce some heavy rainfall and gusty winds.

The Storm Prediction Center has the central portion of Indiana under a marginal risk that some of the thunderstorms may reach severe criteria. Lows fall to 60.

SUNDAY: A few showers or storms will linger into the first part of Sunday morning. Look for mostly cloudy skies through much of the day. A few showers will be possible later in the afternoon. Highs climb into the upper 60s and lower 70s.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Skies become partly cloudy Sunday night. Temperatures drop into the middle and upper 40s.

MONDAY: Look for lots of sunshine for the first part of the day Monday. Clouds begin to increase and we’ll see a chance for a few showers later in the afternoon. Highs reach 65.

8DAY FORECAST: Another round of showers will be possible for the first half of the day on Tuesday. Clouds stick around through the middle part of the week with another chance of rain on Wednesday. Temperatures fall below normal for much of next week. Look for highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s. It looks like much cooler air moves into the state next weekend with highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s.
