Soggy weekend, but warmer temperatures ahead

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Scattered storms will make up most of your weekend with above average temperatures returning next week.

TONIGHT:

Showers will remain scattered through the night into early tomorrow morning.

The low will be in the upper 60s.

SATURDAY: Upper level system spinning over central Indiana will bring scattered showers and storms through much of the day, Saturday.  While not a wash out, many neighborhoods should see at least some light rain from time to time through the day time hours.

Scattered storms will be prominent throughout the day. Temperatures will only climb to be about 78° for the high.

Showers will diminish as the night time hours approach and the low drops to the mid 60s.

SUNDAY: Rain continues on Sunday with the greatest chance of scattered storms in the afternoon and evening hours. The high will be only 76° with an overnight low of 67°.

8-DAY FORECAST: Shower and storm chances will decrease with the start of the work week.

Isolated rain chance for Monday, but the rest of the week will be fairly dry. The heat will return starting Tuesday with highs in upper 80s and stick around for the remainder of the week.
