Spotty showers Sunday; warming trend continues

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Clouds will return with an isolated shower or two possible Sunday. Warmer temperatures will continue to show up in the extended forecast.

Sunday:

A weak cold front will push through the state Sunday. The most significant change from Saturday will be the increase in cloud cover. There isn’t much moisture to play around with, but still worth the mention of an isolated shower or two through the day, but many dry hours in play.

Highs will top out in the middle to upper 50s, with a few areas cracking 60° this afternoon.

Sunday Night:

A cold front will move east, and drier and cooler air will move in. You can expect clearing overnight, with chilly temperatures falling to the mid to upper 30s early Monday morning.

Monday:

A nice day is on tap with mostly sunny skies and milder temperatures. Highs will top out in the lower 60s.

8-Day Forecast:

A stronger cold front will move through the state Monday night into early Tuesday morning. Like our Sunday system, there won’t be much moisture, but it’s worth a mention that a few light showers could develop during the pre-dawn hours, Tuesday. Tuesday will also be a cooler day, with highs only in the middle 50s. A nice warm-up will move in starting Wednesday and beyond, as temperatures return to near normal levels. Chance of rain and storms return for Thursday, with another round of showers and storms possible on Saturday.
