Steamy end to the weekend, storms return Monday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Summer heat will return to central Indiana Sunday. Storm chances will increase to open the work week.

Sunday:

It will be a quiet day with mostly sunny conditions. Temperatures will warm quickly and combined with higher humidity, feels like temps will likely hover in the mid 90s this afternoon.

Sunday Night:

Conditions will be partly cloudy and muggy with lows falling to the lower 70s.

Monday:

A convective complex will roll in from Illinois in the morning, bring scattered showers and storms to much of the area – possibly for the morning commute.

By the afternoon, some isolated storms may be possible as well as the cold front that will move through the state.

Highs will top out in the middle to upper 80s.

Active pattern continues this week with warm and humid conditions through the weekend. Expect isolated afternoon storm chances each day this week with highs holding in the mid 80s, which is average for this time of year.
