Strong storms Friday and Saturday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A stormy start to Friday morning with a few spots picking up on a stronger storm through the morning hours and afternoon. Main threats with the storms Friday will be some larger hail. Highs will warm to the mid 60s. There is a marginal risk of stronger to severe storms at any time during the day Friday. Friday night storms will continue with lows in the lower 50s.

Saturday will be a very unsettled day. Highs will surge to the mid 70s with a partly cloudy sky. A cold front will swing through the state late evening and overnight, which will spark up severe storms. We’ll have the threat of storms through the afternoon with the severe storms more likely late in the evening and overnight. There is a slight risk for the entire state of Indiana with an enhanced risk in NW Indiana. The main threats with the storms will be damaging winds, large hail, tornadoes and minor flooding.

Showers and storms will move out early Sunday with highs dropping to the mid-50s with a mainly cloudy sky. It should be a quiet start to the work week next week with highs in the mid to upper 50s with sunshine. Next chance for rain should arrive midweek.
