Indianapolis (WISH)

Thursday will be the last scorcher this week as highs hit the lower 90s for pretty much all of central Indiana. A few isolated showers possible during the afternoon with no severe weather expected during the day.

A cold front will swing eastward and increase rain chances by the end of the week. Friday will be our transition day with highs slipping to the lower 80s with scattered storms throughout the day. Marginal risk of strong to severe thunderstorms during the afternoon with the main threats being damaging winds, large hail and minor flooding. An isolated shower could linger through the overnight and early Saturday with the heaviest of rain well to the east to start off the weekend.

Saturday looks to start with a few spotty showers with a decent looking afternoon with lots of sunshine! Highs will be cool and seasonal in the mid 70s. We officially welcome in Fall at 9:54 pm. Fall like weather sticks around for the  the weekend as highs stick in the mid 70s.

Next, another weather maker arrives Monday into Tuesday, which could shake things up pattern wise. Highs for the early half of the week should remain in the mid 70s with even cooler conditions expected for the later half of the work week.
