Tracking Tuesday night’s storms, nice by Wednesday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Another warm afternoon took place statewide as we felt the winds pick up a bit throughout the day. We are monitoring rain and storm chances for Tuesday night, and there even could be isolated strong to severe storms.

Tonight: A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect for far northern Indiana until 11 PM EDT.

Scattered showers and storms will be possible through midnight tonight.

Isolated strong to severe storm chances also remain in play before midnight. Damaging winds will be the primary threat, but isolated large hail is also possible. Heavy rainfall and frequent lightning will accompany any thunderstorm.

Lows will fall into the upper 50s to low 60s.

Tomorrow: A few showers will linger into Wednesday morning. Slightly cooler and dry afternoon conditions are expected for our Wednesday. Enjoy a pleasant day overall with highs topping out in the upper 70s.

Thursday: We keep the fantastic weather trend going into our Thursday. Abundant sunshine and a pleasant light breeze will keep things nice statewide. Highs will only rise into the upper 70s.

8-day forecast: A warmup will work its way into the forecast as we go throughout our weekend. There is the chance for isolated showers and storms Sunday. Highs look to settle into the mid 80s by the start of next week before additional storm chances and slightly cooler air slide back in.
