INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We had additional showers and storms mainly move across the southern half of the state throughout most of our Thursday. Rain will move out Thursday night, and then we will bring back summerlike air going into the weekend.
Thursday night: A spotty shower or storm cannot be ruled during our Thursday evening commute. Skies will become partly cloudy as lows will fall into the upper 50s to low 60s.
Friday: We will begin our Friday under partly cloudy skies, and then we will become mainly sunny by the afternoon hours. Temperatures will be able to easily escape the 70s and rise into the low to mid 80s for the highs. Enjoy a fantastic summerlike day overall as we close out the workweek!
Weekend: The warming trend will persist throughout our weekend with highs drawing closer to the 90° mark by Sunday. It will not be a surprise to see some locations hit the low 90s on Sunday as we will have lots of sunshine and winds coming out of the south. We cannot rule out isolated showers late Sunday, but much of the weekend will remain dry.
8 Day Forecast: More active weather will slowly ride into the state beginning on Monday with spotty storm chances. Daily rain and storm chances are in place through next Thursday. We will also continue to stay locked into our summerlike air pattern in the extended forecast with highs in the mid 80s.
