Warmer Tuesday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A dicey start to the workweek was the story across central Indiana as freezing rain, sleet and even some snow made way for rough road conditions.

Monday night: Wintry mix chances will continue for the first half of our Monday night. For areas south of interstate 70, precipitation will mainly fall as rain.

Lows will be in the low to mid 30s as temperatures will not move around much at all overnight.

Tuesday: Skies will remain cloudy through our Tuesday as Monday’s system continues moving toward the East Coast. There is an outside shot of a rain-snow mix through Tuesday afternoon with better precipitation chances farther north.

Highs will climb into the low 40s.

Wednesday: Another system will work its way into the state for Wednesday. Snow shower chances will be in place through Wednesday afternoon. At this time, better snow accumulations lie well south of Indianapolis.

Highs will drop back into the 30s.

8 Day Forecast: The weather pattern is set to quiet down for the remainder of the workweek with highs ranging from the low to upper 30s. More activity looks to move in through the weekend and into early next week with mixed precipitation chances Saturday and showers through Sunday and Monday. Highs will vary from the mid 30s to low 40s through the weekend and into early next week.
