Warmer Wednesday, rain by Thanksgiving Day

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We had a slight rebound in the temperature department for our Tuesday with highs pushing into the low to mid 40s. Warmer air will continue sliding in for our Wednesday before we shift towards rain chances and back to colder air.

Tuesday night: Prepare for another cold night under clear skies. It will not be as cold as last night though with lows dipping into the upper 20s to low 30s.

Wednesday: We will waltz into a pleasant Wednesday with much warmer temperatures. Winds will pick up a bit going into the afternoon hours with gusts over 30 MPH at times. Cloud cover will also increase ahead of our next chance for rain. Showers will begin to develop overnight into early Thursday.

Highs will jump into the low to mid 50s. If you are doing any last minute Thanksgiving travel on Wednesday, the only impact will be gusty winds.

Thanksgiving Day: For those hoping for a pleasant weather day on Thanksgiving, it will unfortunately not pan out that way. Expect a damp Thanksgiving Day with temperatures going from the mid 40s in the morning to the mid 30s by nighttime. Winds will become breezy at times as well.

Highs will top out in the mid to upper 40s early in the day.

8-Day Forecast: Cold air is set to return to end the workweek with highs only managing to rise into the mid 30s. Highs look to quickly jump back into the 40s for the upcoming weekend. There is a low chance for a light rain/snow mix late Saturday. Temperatures will be near normal as we enter the new workweek next week.
