Wintry precipitation to return

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Another nice and above average January day is in the books across the state with breezy winds. We will see a pattern change work into the forecast beginning late Thursday.

Wednesday night: Skies will partially clear out overnight as we will only fall into the low 30s for our low temperatures.

Thursday: Clouds will slowly build back in throughout our Thursday ahead of our next system. A wintry mix will be possible Thursday evening and night.

Highs will remain on the warmer side as we top out in the mid 40s.

Friday: We will keep the precipitation chances rolling through the end of our workweek. Scattered snow showers are possible throughout the day. We can’t even rule out a little bit of mixed precipitation at times.

Highs will fall back to near average for this time of the year as we will only rise into the mid to upper 30s.

8 Day Forecast: Scattered snow shower chances look to continue through the weekend with light snow accumulations possible. Colder air will sink into the state for Sunday before we rebound temperature wise going into the new workweek next week.
