Chilly November across Central Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — November across Central Indiana was colder than normal. High temperatures for most of the month were below normal.  Only six days were above normal.

November 2018 ranked the 15th coldest in Indianapolis.  The average monthly temperature was 37.8° which is almost six degrees below normal.

Even though we had a cold November the first part of December looked promising to those who like the mild temperatures. December 1st and 2nd saw highs in the upper 50s flirting with 60 degrees!  It was the 9th warmest start to December.

We’re seeing a cold snap right now but temperatures will climb back into the 40s for next week. The Climate Prediction Center does have all of Indiana under slightly above normal temperatures for the entire month of December.
