Brooke Martin is an anchor/reporter for WISH-TV’s 24-Hour News 8. She joined WISH-TV in October, 2012. Before coming to WISH, Brooke anchored and reported at KSN in Wichita, Kansas. For two years she covered everything from tornadoes and crime to award-winning in-depth investigations. It was a wild ride that ended with an even wilder ride as her last story took her thousands of feet in the air, flying with the USAF's Thunderbirds!
Brooke attended college at the School of Communications at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was less than two hours from her hometown of Lancaster, but felt like a world away. That is where she began to realize that what led her into her career of journalism is really what journalism is all about; asking the right question.
Her first job took her from a big city in the Northeast to the heart of the South. It was at WMGT in Macon, Georgia that Brooke spent her first four years in broadcasting. She came to learn that college football can be a religion, that summer heat can be strong enough to make you sick, and that there's a reason great hospitality is called "southern."
As adventurous and exciting as Brooke’s career had been, she was always longing for that one city that she could truly call home. Brooke was excited to get the call from Indianapolis, ready to put down some roots! She’s excited about being a Hoosier and becoming a part of such a wonderful community.
