Make your home page

This fall brings many of us unknown plans for our school, as well as our work life. Sherri French, lifestyle and parenting expert of Mom Hint has some home workspace organization solutions that will make your workspace more organized, efficient and fun for hours of work.

Paint Chip Calendar – Being organized starts with knowing what you have for each day.  Create your own wall calendar with paint chips and a picture frame so you kids can log everything that is due or upcoming at school.

Desktop Organization – On your desk, make sure everything has its place, including the small things.  Use mason jars, empty cereal boxes and silicone cupcake holders to create a perfect space. Use a ‘landing pad’ where you put things that are unfinished on so that everything has a place.  Use a cutting board, mat or tray.

Keep your cords under control – Use binder clips to help keep your cords in check on the side of your desk and label them with coloured tape at the power bar to know what cord goes to what.

Fidget spinner – Cut a round off of a pool noodle and keep it on your desk so it’s there when you are losing focus.

Walmart has provided a design plan for a future home office building in Bentonville.

In a press conference at the current home office, Walmart unveiled a design for what they call “a new connected campus” that’s built in a neighborhood-like environment. Each neighborhood would offer convenient parking and expanded dining options.

The connected campus would have more than 15 acres of lakes and the company calls the design, “smart and sustainable.”

Walmart Inc. President and CEO Doug McMillon, Walmart Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Dan Bartlett were in attendance. Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson and Bentonville Mayor Stephanie Orman joined Walmart at the press conference.

“Arkansas has been good to us, and there’s nowhere else we’d rather call home. When I imagine the next 60 years, I can’t help but smile at the possibilities.” McMillon said.
