INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Good Sunday evening, everyone!

With a lot more sunshine to close out the weekend, high temps were much warmer than Saturday by 10-15 degrees or more in most areas.

We’ll remain mostly clear through much of the evening before rain begins to return just before midnight in our southernmost communities. Temps will slowly sink into the mid 60s before midnight.

Grab the umbrella for the Monday morning commute as rain slides back in. We’ll bottom out in the mid to upper 50s with scattered rain showers and a few rumbles of thunder.

Temperatures will slowly work their way into the mid 70s, average for this time of year, by Monday afternoon.

Scattered rain and storms are likely through the first day of the workweek, though severe storm chances will be limited to southern Indiana.

Better storm chances look to move in Tuesday, especially by the late evening hours.

A slight risk for severe storms is in place for the entire area Tuesday with damaging wind likely in any severe storm.

Most areas will see from a half inch to an inch of rain by the time storms move out early Wednesday.

Behind the front, high temperatures will drop back into the low 70s for the second half of the school week.

We’ll stay mostly dry for high school football Friday night before better rain and storm chances return for next weekend with highs just shy of the 80 mark by this time next week.

Scattered storms during the afternoon with highs in the lower 80s.
