Hogsett announces changes to Employ Indy
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett announced a new plan that aims to put residents back to work.
Hogsett said the Employ Indy program is crucial since one-fifth of Indy residents are living at or below the poverty line.
The initiative will focus on training for low to mid-skilled workers with a mix of job readiness training and career planning.
To implement the mayor’s plan, a new CEO and COO are taking over at Employ Indy.
