Reports: Peter Tork of the Monkees dead at 77
(WISH) – Peter Tork has passed away at the age of 77, according to the Washington Post.
Tork was a bassist and singer for the popular 60s and 70s group
While the cause of death is still unknown, he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2009.
A representative for the musician confirmed the death to Variety, saying that he died Thursday morning.
The Monkees are known for such hits songs as “Daydream Believer,” “Last Train to Clarksville” and” I’m a Believer.”
