Warm through the holiday weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — After a chilly day Wednesday, we’re going to see temperatures rise through the holiday weekend.

TODAY: We’ll see some sunshine throughout the day Thursday. Skies become partly cloudy during the afternoon. Temperatures climb in the middle 40s which is 5-7 degrees above normal.

TONIGHT: Skies become mostly cloudy overnight. We stay dry and temperatures don’t really move very much. Lows fall into the lower 40s.

FRIDAY/CHRISTMAS EVE: Clouds stick around for Christmas Eve. Much of the day will be dry but later in the evening shower chances increase. It is going to be very mild. Highs rise into the middle and even upper 50s across the state. If highs climb into the upper 50s this would be the warmest Christmas Eve in 50 years.

SATURDAY/CHRISTMAS DAY: No chances of a white Christmas this year. It looks like we’ll see a chance for a few rain showers during the first part of the day. Temperatures will climb into the 60s which will be near a record.

8DAY FORECAST: The mild temperatures continue through the holiday weekend. Highs stay in the 50s for Sunday with a chance for a few rain showers. Shower chances continue into the first part of Monday. Highs remain in the 50s for the first part of the new week. Temperatures drop a little for the middle part of the week however they stay above normal.
