Batteries stolen from Celadon Trucking
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An Indianapolis trucking company said they woke up to a surprise when they found batteries were stolen from their trucks.
Just before 8 Tuesday morning, Celadon Trucking on 33rd street reported that batteries had been stolen out of 36 of their trucks overnight.
The batteries were taken out of mostly older model semis that were kept in a back lot without surveillance cameras, according to a company spokesperson.
Celadon is still assessing the value of the missing batteries. Most new semi batteries sell for $100 to $200 each.
