ISDH: More than 600 new COVID-19 cases; 6 more deaths

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – On Monday, the Indiana State Department of Health announced 603 new COVID-19 cases and six additional deaths.

The new COVID-19 cases are from between Aug. 8 and Aug. 16 while the newly reported deaths are from between Aug. 12 and Aug. 16.

In total, there have been 81,006 COVID-19 cases and 2,926 deaths related to the virus in Indiana.

According to the department, there have been 1,175,330 tests administered in the state.

According to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, there have been more than 21,707,000 confirmed cases worldwide, with more than 13, 688,000 recoveries and more than 775,000 deaths.
