Fire rips through vacant home on city’s near northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Fire officials are investigating after a fire ripped through a vacant home early Tuesday.

It happened around 5:00 a.m. in the 1200 block of West 27th Street when fire officials were originally responding to another fire in the area.

It was determined that the fire of the home was intentionally set.

The fire caused an estimated $40,000 in damages.

There were no injuries reported.
