Flags to be flown at half-staff through month of December in honor of former President Bush

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Governor Eric Holcomb has directed flags across the state of Indiana to be flown at half staff to honor former President George H.W. Bush.

Bush died late Friday evening at his Houston home. He was 94.

President Donald Trump also ordered American flags to be flown at half-staff across the country for 30 days in honor of former President Bush. 

In a tweet, Governor Holcomb said:

President George H. W. Bush was an exceptional man who led the nation with both courage and kindness. Janet and I want to share our prayers and condolences with the Bush family and ask all Hoosiers to join us.
