Dogs parade through Zionsville neighborhood for twins’ birthday

ZIONSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A parade of dogs helped Zionsville twins celebrate their birthdays on Sunday.

People gathered for Luke and Lillian Steele’s 13th birthday with a goal of having fun while staying safe amid virus restrictions.

The Four Legged Ranch also brought some furry friends, including the first dog the Steele family fostered.

“Dad came out and was like, ‘Get down! There’s a party going on,’” said Luke Steele.

“It was just amazing because when you do it(foster a pet), you don’t think you’re doing that much work,” said Lillian Steele. “Just to see the dog that I did this work for, we had him twice and I was just so happy to see he finally got that home.”

Like many families, it’s been a tough time because Luke and Lillian’s father, Tony, is an ER doctor.

Their mother, Christina, says she’s grateful people took some time to safely celebrate.
