Motion to ‘correct errors’ in Earl Taylor trial denied
VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – The motion to ‘correct errors’ that was submitted in the Earl Taylor murder trial has been denied.
This motion was denied by Judge John Roach.
The motion had been filed on April 15 by his attorneys after a Vigo County Jury convicted Taylor of murdering his first wife, Kathy Dean Taylor.
After the trial, the bailiff of the court where Taylor’s trial took place said she ran into a juror in public. That first juror told the bailiff a second juror mentioned she knew of Taylor’s previous murder conviction of his second wife.
Roach has appointed a state public defender to represent Taylor in his appeal of his first degree murder conviction.
This is a developing story and will be updated when information becomes available.
