Police arrest 3, find drugs and guns during search
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Three people are in behind bars following the search of an apartment on the city’s northeast side Saturday.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, IMPD Narcotics detectives were contacted by the DEA and U.S. Postal Service about packages of marijuana being sent through the mail.
After receiving the information, a search warrant was obtained and an apartment in the 5800 block of Bywood Drive was searched around 9 a.m.
The searched turned up almost $33,000 in cash, 12 lbs. of marijuana, 36 grams of heroin and three firearms – a shotgun and two handguns.
Dwayne Tubbs, 50, Jeremy Martin, 33, and 32-year-old Kelsey Henderson were taken into custody. All of them face preliminary charges as a result of the search.
