Police looking for man accused of several violent charges

 TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – The Terre Haute Police Department is looking for a man they are calling armed and dangerous.

Police received a call from a home on the 2400 block of North 15th Street.

The victim told police George DeYoung Junior forced himself inside of her home.

She said DeYoung battered her with a crowbar and strangled her.

The victim also told officers DeYoung had a gun.

Police said she had a previous relationship with him.

The victim was taken to the hospital and later released.

Now, police are looking for DeYoung.

A warrant has been issued for burglary, criminal confinement, battery by means of a deadly weapon, strangulation, two counts of pointing a firearm and stalking.

Police think he may be driving an older model GMC Denali with a ladder rack and yellow light on top.

He is considered armed and dangerous.
