Royals first-round draft pick pays off parents’ debt

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WKRN) – It was a gesture of thanks and love for the Kansas City Royals’ first round draft pick last year.

In a tweet, Royals pitcher Brady Singer, the 2018 Dick Howser Trophy Recipient and the 2018 National Player of the Year, gave back to his parents in a big way.

In the now viral video, Singer thanks his parents for shuttling him to games and practices, going without so he could pursue his dream and paying for “all those Gatorades I drank.”

Singer paid off his parents loan and debts as a sign of thanks for helping him achieve his dream.

“Your giving hearts helped shape my tiny dream into a reality…now let’s go celebrate. Merry Christmas. Love always, Brady.”
