IMPD arrests man for sex trafficking of a minor

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 19-year-old man has been arrested in a sex trafficking investigation involving an underage girl.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has arrested Ledarreus Dean in the case.

IMPD says that detectives were conducting an undercover prostitution investigation on March 19.

Detectives learned that a 16-year-old runaway was involved in the case.

Police say Dean drove the girl to the meetup location.

Dean faces preliminary charges of sexual trafficking of a minor, a level 3 felony.

The victim has been transported to the Department of Child Services.

The case now goes to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
