1 woman dead, 2 in critical condition following crash on city’s east side
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — One person is dead following a crash on the east side Tuesday morning.
It happened around 11:30 a.m. in the area of East 12th Street and North Mitthoefer Road.
A woman was transported in very critical condition, but was later pronounced dead as a result of the crash.
Two other individuals were transported in critical condition.
According to IMPD, witnesses say the striking vehicle was going north on Mithoeffer Road when it crossed the center line, causing a head-on collision. They do not believe alcohol was a factor in this crash, but the northbound driver will be taken for a blood draw as standard procedure.
