3 adults, 1 juvenile arrested after using counterfeit money at 3 Columbus restaurants

COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – The Columbus Police Department arrested three adults and one juvenile after they used counterfeit money at three restaurants Thursday afternoon.

According to police, officers were sent to a restaurant in the 3400 block of Jonathan Moore Pike after reports of three counterfeit $20 were used to purchase food.

Police said they also received calls from two other restaurants who were also part of the scam.

The suspects were found on Interstate 65 by the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office. Kiara Ingram, 20 of Indianapolis, Reveonna Barner, 18 of Indianapolis, and Jayla Keys, 20 of Speedway, were transported to the Bartholomew County Jail. The 16-year-old juvenile was transported to the Bartholomew County Youth Services Center.

All four were preliminary charged on counterfeiting.
