65-year-old man notices he was shot while ironing in his home

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A person was shot Tuesday afternoon on the near northwest side of Indianapolis, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

Police say a 65-year-old man was ironing inside his home in the 1200 block of North Tibbs Avenue around 1:09 p.m. when he noticed blood on himself. Once he noticed the blood, that’s when police say he called 911.

IMPD believes the victim was shot twice.

The man was transported to Eskenazi Hospital with no life threatening issues.

Police said it appears the bullets traveled through a window and struck the victim.This is a developing story, check back at WISHTV.com for updates.
