Authorities continue to search for woman after officer-involved shooting in Brownsburg
BROWNSBURG, Ind. (WISH) — Authorities provided an update of the person shot in an officer-involved shooting Monday night in Brownsburg Tuesday morning.
The shooting happened just before 9:30 p.m. in a subdivision on Ashwood Circle when officials were responding to reports of an armed robbery.
Authorities found a suspect vehicle at the intersection of Main and Odell streets with two men and a woman inside. A man was shot by police after he attacked officers, according to Indiana State Police. The man, later identified as 28-year-old Julio Serrano of Illinois, was taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in unknown condition.
The second man in the vehicle, 31-year-old Marek Mikolajczyc, was taken into custody.
Authorities later located Brittany Griebhan, a woman who fled from the vehicle who officials wanted to speak with.
No officers were hurt in the shooting.
