Breaking down election results

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Election Day has come and gone. 

In one of the most-watch races in the country, Republican Mike Braun defeated the incumbent, Democratic Sen. Joe Donnelly and Democrats in Indiana held onto their congressional seats in the 7th and 1st.

Democrats regained control of the U.S. House of Representatives while Republicans hold onto the U.S. Senate.

Gregory Shufeldt, a political science professor at Butler, Lara Beck, a Democrat who has worked with former Indianapolis Mayor Bart Peterson and IndyPolitics.org publisher Abdul-Hakim Shabazz, were on Daybreak Wednesday to break down Tuesday’s results.
