Cadillac to serve as centerpiece at Purpose Park

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – There’s an eye-catching new development on the west side of Indianapolis.

A repurposed Cadillac serves as the centerpiece for an upcoming mural at Purpose Park on North Homes Ave.

A burned home once stood in the area, but now it will feature a vegetable garden, a casita and a decorative seating wall. It is all thanks to the work of Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, the leaders of ENGINE imitative and NOPAL Cultural Center.

The Cadillac will be the new canvas for a mural that is expected to be completed later this spring. Organizers say a celebration of the space will be held in early May, where volunteers, founders and the community will come together to welcome the space.
