Children’s Museum brings back ‘Museum by Moonlight’ fundraiser party for adults

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)– The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is bringing back its special party just for adults who are “big kids at heart.” Museum By Moonlight, one of the museum’s biggest fundraisers for several years, is switching things up in 2021 and now organizers believe the celebration will be even better.

The party has traditionally been held in February, but this year it’ll take place Saturday, Aug. 28.

This year’s event will also feature more than a dozen different sports and outdoor games designed specifically for Museum By Moonlight including dodge ball and a home run derby. The outdoor action in the Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience adds to the five floors of indoor fun, food and drinks that visitors can take part in.

Children’s Museum Associate Vice President of Development Lindsay Gramlich spoke with All Indiana’s Randall Newsome about what she looks forward to on that night.

“Just seeing smiling faces of adults acting like kids and just having fun,” Gramlich said. “My kids love it out here, but so does my husband and so do my friends.”

There are more than 10 local restaurants set to participate in the event along with beer tastings, silent auctions and more.
