Coroner IDs woman killed in double shooting on city’s west side

UPDATE: The Marion County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman killed in a shooting just after 1:30 Thursday morning in the 3000 block of North High School Road. The coroner has identified the victim as 40-year-old Wilma Hochstetler.

No other details were released by the coroner.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person is dead after two people were shot on the city’s west side, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

Police said just after 1:30 Thursday morning officers were called to the 3000 block of North High School Road for a report of a person shot.

After arriving on the scene, IMPD said they found two gunshot victims – a male and a female.

The female was pronounced dead at the scene while the male was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

No victim or suspect information has been released.

It’s also unclear what led up to the deadly shooting.
